Black Thrush, Turdus infuscatus, is a thrush of Middle America, breeding from Mexico through Honduras. It belongs to the family Turdidae and was described by Lafresnaye in 1844. It lives in montane evergreen forest, pine-oak forest, semi-deciduous forest and cloudforest, mainly in subtropical and temperate zones. Its range is split into separate populations. The species is notable for its sexual dimorphism, with adult males almost wholly black and adult females olive brown above with paler underparts. Juveniles are brown above and buff below, with dark spotting.
