Black-winged Flycatcher-shrike, Hemipus hirundinaceus, is a bird of the Oriental Region, breeding in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Simeulue, Nias, Riau and Lingga islands, Bangka, Belitung, Java, Bali, Borneo and Banggi. It belongs to the Vangidae. It is associated with lowland forests, and also occurs in swamps and mangroves. The species is placed in the flycatcher-shrike group Hemipus. Its range extends across the Malay Peninsula and the Greater Sunda Islands, with records from forest canopy, edges, roads and streams, and from secondary forest.
