Acridotheres melanopterus

The Black-winged Starling, scientifically known as Acridotheres melanopterus, is a medium-sized passerine bird native to Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its glossy black plumage with a contrasting white rump and undertail coverts. This species is known for its highly social behavior and can often be found in large flocks, foraging for insects and fruits in open woodlands, agricultural areas, and urban environments. The Black-winged Starling is known for its melodious and varied vocalizations, which it uses for communication within the flock.
