Blackish Cinclodes, Cinclodes antarcticus, is a passerine of the Furnariidae that breeds in Tierra del Fuego in southern Chile and Argentina, and on the Falkland Islands. It is a coastal bird, most often associated with short grass, tussac grass and rocky shores, and it also occurs around people’s homes. The nominate form is on the Falklands, while maculirostris is found on the mainland and nearby islands in the Cape Horn Archipelago. It is known locally as tussac-bird or tussock-bird.
