Blackish-grey Antshrike Thamnophilus nigrocinereus is a bird of northern Amazonia in South America, recorded in Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana and Venezuela. It was described by Philip Sclater in 1855 and belongs to the antbird family, Thamnophilidae, in the order Passeriformes. It is a resident species across its range. Its breeding range is in Amazonia. The species is associated with river-linked forest and other wooded habitats, where it uses the understorey and mid-storey. It is also notable for having several recognised subspecies.
