Blaze-winged Parakeet, Pyrrhura devillei, is a parrot of south-eastern South America, with its breeding range in northern Paraguay and south-western Brazil. It belongs to the family Psittacidae and was described by Massena and Souancé in 1854. Its range is centred on the Pantanal and Chaco, especially in Mato Grosso do Sul and the Paraguayan departments of Alto Paraguay and Concepción. It is mainly associated with deciduous and gallery forest, and also uses the transition zones beside scrub and savannah. The species is closely linked to the maroon-bellied parakeet and may interbreed with it where their ranges meet.
