Blue-black Robin

This species is known for its melodious and varied song, which it uses to communicate with other individuals in its dense forest habitat. The Blue-black Robin forages for insects and small invertebrates on the forest floor, using its sharp bill to probe leaf litter and moss. Despite its bright colors, this species can be elusive and difficult to spot among the dense vegetation. The Blue-black Robin is not currently considered to be at risk, but its montane forest habitat is threatened by deforestation and habitat degradation.
