Blue-browed Tanager, Tangara cyanotis, is a bird of the family Thraupidae found in South America from Colombia to Bolivia. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Two subspecies are recognised. T. c. lutleyi occurs from southern Colombia through Ecuador to Peru and has a black back and ear coverts. T. c. cyanotis is the nominate form and is found in Bolivia and south-eastern Peru. The species was first described by Philip Sclater in 1858, and the IOC uses Blue-browed Tanager as its official English name.
