Blue-capped Redstart

The Blue-capped Redstart is a small, vibrant bird found in the high-altitude coniferous and mixed forests of the Himalayas and surrounding regions. Males have a striking blue cap and upperparts, contrasting with a black face and throat, while females are more subdued with grayish-brown plumage. These agile birds are often seen perched on rocks or low branches, flicking their tails and darting after insects. They are known for their melodious and varied songs, adding to the charm of their mountainous habitats.
