Amazona dufresniana
The Blue-cheeked Amazon, also known as the Dufresne's Amazon, is a striking parrot species found in South America. These medium-sized parrots are known for their vibrant plumage, which includes a predominantly green body with distinctive blue cheeks and yellow markings on the head and wings. They are highly social birds and are often found in flocks in their natural habitat. Blue-cheeked Amazons are primarily found in tropical and subtropical forests, where they forage for fruits, seeds, and nuts. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and the pet trade, they are facing conservation concerns in the wild.
