Blue Coua, Coua caerulea, is a cuckoo in the family Cuculidae that breeds in north-western and eastern Madagascar. It was first described by Linnaeus in 1766. It is a forest bird of the island, and is reported from suitable habitat in those parts of Madagascar. The bird has deep blue plumage and a bare blue oval patch around the eye. It also has a bulky shape, short broad wings and a long tail, features that are visible when it glides between trees.
