Blue-headed Racket-tail, Prioniturus platenae, is a parrot of the Palawan group in the south-western Philippines, where it breeds in the Oriental Region. It is a bird of humid lowland forest and nearby cultivated ground, and it also uses scrub and mangroves. The species is recognised by its racket-tail, with the two central tail feathers drawn out into bare shafts ending in a paddle-like tip. It is mainly green, with blue on the head and underwings, and the male also shows blue on the breast.
