Blue-headed Wood Dove, Turtur brehmeri, is a pigeon in the Columbidae family found in western and central Africa. It is widespread across the African tropical rainforest. The bird has a bluish-grey head, rufous brown plumage, iridescent green wing patches, a reddish bill, a dark brown iris and dark red feet. Both sexes look alike, while young birds are duller than adults. It nests in trees, using twigs, leaves and other plant material. Its diet includes seeds, fallen fruits, insects and small animals, and the female usually lays one to two eggs.
