Blue Manakin, Chiroxiphia caudata, is a passerine of the manakin family found in south-eastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina. It breeds across southern and south-eastern Brazil, extending into eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina. First described by Shaw in 1793, it is a member of Pipridae. The species is also known as the swallow-tailed manakin. Its range is centred on South America, and it is recorded from Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
