Bluish-fronted Jacamar, Galbula cyanescens, is a bird of the Galbulidae family that breeds in western Amazonia in South America, including Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. It is a monotypic species, and is placed with the rufous-tailed, white-chinned, coppery-chested and green-tailed jacamars in a superspecies group. The male has a metallic green to bluish crown and forehead, with similarly glossy upperparts. The female is alike, but the lower breast and belly are ochraceous. It was described by Deville in 1849.
