The Blyth's Frogmouth (Batrachostomus affinis) is a medium-sized nocturnal bird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive frog-like call, which it uses to communicate with its mate and establish territory. This species has a cryptic plumage that allows it to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, making it a master of camouflage. Blyth's Frogmouth feeds on insects and small vertebrates, using its wide gape to capture prey. It is a solitary bird, often perching motionless on branches during the day and becoming active at dusk. The conservation status of the Blyth's Frogmouth is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
