Blyth's Leaf Warbler

Phylloscopus reguloides (Blyth, 1842)

Blyth's Leaf Warbler, Phylloscopus reguloides, breeds in the north-western, central and eastern Himalayas and west and central Indochina. It is a leaf warbler in the family Phylloscopidae. Its range also extends through Southeast Asia, southern China and along the Himalayas to northern Pakistan. The bird occurs in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It was named for the English zoologist Edward Blyth. Its song is noted for high complexity, with greater variation between song types contributing to the number of distinct notes.
