Anthus lineiventris
The Blyth's Pipit (Anthus lineiventris) is a small, slender bird found in open grasslands, agricultural fields, and marshy areas across parts of Asia. It has a streaked brown back, pale underparts, and a distinctive pale supercilium. This species is known for its distinctive flight display, during which it ascends high into the air before parachuting down with fluttering wings. Blyth's Pipits forage on the ground for insects and seeds, often running and pausing to pick up food items. They are known for their melodious, far-carrying song, which they often deliver from a prominent perch. This species is a long-distance migrant, breeding in northern Asia and wintering in southern Asia and parts of Africa.
