Bobolink

The Bobolink is a small, migratory bird known for its striking breeding plumage and unique song. During the breeding season, males display a black and white plumage with a buff-colored nape, while females are more subtly colored in brown and buff. These birds breed in grasslands and hayfields, where they build their nests on the ground. Bobolinks are highly migratory, spending the winter in South America and migrating to North America for the breeding season. They are known for their bubbly and tinkling song, which is often heard as they fly over their grassland habitats. The Bobolink is a species of conservation concern due to the loss of its grassland habitats to agriculture and development.
