Boehm's Bee-eater is a colorful bird found in the savannas and open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. It has a distinctive green crown, blue throat, and chestnut belly. This species is known for its aerial acrobatics as it catches flying insects in mid-air. Boehm's Bee-eater is a social bird, often seen in small groups perched on branches or wires. It nests in burrows dug into sandy banks and cliffs. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential future threats to this species.
