Scytalopus bolivianus Allen, JA, 1889
Bolivian Tapaculo, Scytalopus bolivianus, is a passerine in the Rhinocryptidae family and breeds in south Peru and south Bolivia. It was described by Allen, JA, 1889. It was once treated as part of the rufous-vented tapaculo, but is now recognised separately. Its breeding range runs from Puno Province in southeastern Peru into Chuquisaca Department in Bolivia. It lives in thick growth within humid broadleaf forest, mainly between 1,000 and 2,300 m, though it has been recorded up to 2,850 m in a few places.
