Bolivian Tyrannulet

Zimmerius bolivianus

The Bolivian Tyrannulet (Zimmerius bolivianus) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Andean foothills of Bolivia and adjacent areas of Peru. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, yellowish underparts, and a distinctive white eyering. This species is often found in the understory of humid montane forests, where it forages for insects and small invertebrates. The Bolivian Tyrannulet is known for its high-pitched, repetitive song that is often heard in its preferred habitat. While not currently considered globally threatened, the conservation status of this species is still being assessed.
