Booted Warbler
Iduna caligata (Lichtenstein, MHC, 1823)

Booted Warbler, Iduna caligata, breeds across western and central Russia south through Kazakhstan to Iran, Afghanistan and western China, and winters in south India. It is a passerine in the Acrocephalidae family. The bird is a small warbler with plain grey-brown upperparts, paler underparts, a clear pale eyebrow, a short bill with a dark tip, and a short-winged, rather pot-bellied shape with a square-ended tail. It was first described by Lichtenstein in 1823.
