Collocalia dodgei Richmond, 1905

Apodidae — Swifts

Bornean Swiftlet, Collocalia dodgei, is a swift of montane Borneo in the Oriental Region, especially around the Mount Kinabalu massif. It was described by Richmond in 1905. It is a tiny bird with relatively short wings and a square tail. Its plumage is mainly glossy dark grey to black, with a white belly. It differs from the glossy swiftlet in being slightly smaller, with a greenish sheen, no white tail spots, and no feathered hind toes. It has also been recorded from the Maligan Range of south-central Sabah.
