Bornean Treepie

Bornean Treepie, Dendrocitta cinerascens, is a passerine of the crow family found in montane Borneo. It was described by Sharpe in 1879. It is a bird of the northern and central mountain ranges, where it is fairly common, especially in valleys and foothills at lower elevations. It lives in forest, along forest edges, in bamboo thickets and scrub, and it also appears in cultivated places. It is sometimes treated as part of the Sumatran treepie. Its breeding is little known, but the nest is a shallow structure of fine twigs set in a low tree.
