Bougainville Thrush, Zoothera atrigena, is a thrush in the family Turdidae that lives in the montane forests of Bougainville in the Solomon Islands. It was described in 1982 by Ripley and Hadden from a specimen taken on Bougainville Island at 1,500 m. It is now treated as a separate species, having once been grouped with the New Britain thrush under the name black-backed thrush. Its scientific name was first given as Zoothera talaseae atrigena before it was recognised as distinct on the basis of its morphology.
