Boulder Chat, Pinarornis plumosus, is a thrush in the family Turdidae that breeds in southern Africa, from eastern Zambia and Malawi to eastern Botswana and southern Zimbabwe. It was first described by Sharpe in 1876. The bird is the only member of its genus, Pinarornis, and is linked to dry woodland and savanna, especially places with well-wooded ground and large granite boulders or scree. Its range includes separate populations in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and western Mozambique.
