Bounty Shag Leucocarbo ranfurlyi is a cormorant in the family Phalacrocoracidae that breeds on the Bounty Islands east of Stewart Island, New Zealand. It is confined to this remote subantarctic group. Some authorities place it in Leucocarbo, while others use Phalacrocorax. The birds nest on cliff ledges, building with brown seaweed. Breeding takes place in October, and the chicks emerge from late November into early December.
