The Brant Goose, scientifically known as Branta bernicla, is a small to medium-sized goose that breeds in the Arctic tundra and winters along coastal areas. This species is known for its striking black head, neck, and chest, contrasting with a pale gray body. Brant Geese are herbivorous, feeding on eelgrass, sea lettuce, and other coastal vegetation. They are often found in salt marshes, coastal bays, and estuaries. During migration, they form impressive V-shaped flocks. The conservation status of the Brant Goose is of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
