Brazilian Tinamou

Brazilian Tinamou, Crypturellus strigulosus, is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae and the order Tinamiformes. It occurs in tropical moist lowland forest across Amazonian South America. Its breeding range runs from eastern Peru and north-western Bolivia into southern Amazonian Brazil. The species is native to lowland forest and is recorded up to 500 m above sea level. The female differs from the male, with black barring and ochre tones on the upperparts. It is a monotypic species.
