Brazza's Nightjar

Brazza's Nightjar is a nocturnal bird found in the forests and woodlands of central Africa. It is known for its distinctive call, which consists of a series of repeated whistling notes. This species has a cryptic plumage that provides excellent camouflage during the day, with mottled brown and gray feathers. It feeds on insects, which it catches in flight using its wide gape and agile flight. Brazza's Nightjar is a relatively small nightjar, measuring around 20-25 cm in length. Its conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
