Myiagra albiventris
The Broad-billed Flycatcher (Myiagra albiventris) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of New Guinea. It is known for its striking blue and white plumage, with a distinctive broad bill that it uses to catch insects in mid-air. This species is known for its agile and acrobatic flight, often darting between branches and foliage in search of prey. Broad-billed Flycatchers are typically found in the canopy and mid-levels of the forest, where they build cup-shaped nests to raise their young. Although not currently classified, their population is believed to be stable, and they are not considered to be at immediate risk of extinction.
