Bronze Sunbird, Nectarinia kilimensis, is a bird of central and eastern Africa, with a breeding range across c and e Africa. It belongs to the sunbird family, Nectariniidae, and was described by Shelley in 1885. It occurs in the Bié Plateau of Angola and in eastern Afromontane forests. A long, strongly curved bill sets it apart. Males show bronze and green tones that can appear black in certain light, while females have a pale eyebrow and yellowish underparts with fine streaking. In Angola, some forms also show an unusual green marking.
