Brown-backed Scrub Robin, Cercotrichas hartlaubi, is a bird of the family Muscicapidae that breeds in parts of Africa, from south-east Nigeria and south Cameroon to south-west Central African Republic, and from north-east Democratic Republic of the Congo to central Kenya and Burundi, with a further population in north-west Angola. It was described by Reichenow in 1891. Its natural home is moist savanna.
