Sula leucogaster
The Brown Booby is a seabird found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide. It is known for its striking appearance, with a brown body, white belly, and a blue-gray bill. These birds are expert fishers, often plunging from great heights to catch their prey. They nest in large colonies on remote islands and coastal cliffs, where they build simple nests out of sticks and debris. The Brown Booby is an agile and graceful flyer, using its long wings to soar effortlessly over the ocean. While not currently considered globally threatened, they face localized threats from habitat destruction and human disturbance.
