Ornithion brunneicapillus (Lawrence, 1862)

Brown-capped Tyrannulet, Ornithion brunneicapillus, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in Middle America and north-western South America, from Costa Rica to north-west Venezuela and north-west Ecuador. It is a small flycatcher with a pointed bill, and the sexes look alike. Adults show a brownish olive to dark brown crown, a white forehead and face markings, olive upperparts, dusky olive wings and tail, and bright yellow underparts with faint olive streaking on the breast and flanks. Juveniles are duller, with a less marked head pattern and paler yellow below.
