Brown-capped Whitestart, Myioborus brunniceps, is a New World warbler that breeds in South America, in Bolivia and north-western and west-central Argentina. It was first described in 1837. The species is monotypic. It is found on the eastern side of the Andes, with a larger range from central Bolivia south into northern Argentina, and a separate southern population in the Sierras de Córdoba. It uses forest edges, clearings, woodland and gardens, and in Bolivia it is mainly associated with dry deciduous forest. In Argentina it makes elevational movements after breeding.
