The Brown-cheeked Fulvetta (Alcippe grotei) is a small, active bird found in the subtropical and tropical moist montane forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive brown cheeks and olive-brown upperparts. This species is often found in mixed-species foraging flocks, where it forages for insects and small invertebrates in the understorey and lower canopy. The Brown-cheeked Fulvetta is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential threats to its populations.
