Brown-headed Greenbul

Phyllastrephus poliocephalus

The Brown-headed Greenbul (Phyllastrephus poliocephalus) is a medium-sized songbird found in the forests and woodlands of eastern and southern Africa. This species is known for its olive-green plumage, with a distinct brown head and a yellow underbelly. It has a melodious and varied song, often heard in the dense foliage of its habitat. The Brown-headed Greenbul is an insectivorous bird, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the canopy and undergrowth. It builds cup-shaped nests in trees and shrubs, where it lays its eggs and raises its young. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to its populations.
