Brown-rumped Bunting, Emberiza affinis, is a bird of the Sahel zone and north-east African mesic woodland, from Senegal and far south Mauritania to north Guinea, east to west and south Ethiopia, north Uganda and west Kenya. It belongs to the bunting family, Emberizidae, and was described by Heuglin in 1867. It is associated with moist lowland forest in the Sudan region and nearby areas.
