Brown-winged Parrotbill, Suthora brunnea, is a passerine of the Paradoxornithidae family found in Myanmar and south-west China, with its breeding range running from Myanmar to south-west China in the Oriental Region. It was described by Anderson in 1871. The species was once placed with the Old World babblers and the Sylviidae, but molecular studies have shown it belongs in Paradoxornithidae. Two subspecies are recognised: S. b. brunnea in central and eastern Myanmar to north-west Yunnan, and S. b. styani in the Dali area of west-central Yunnan.
