Brown-winged Schiffornis, Schiffornis turdina, is a passerine of Middle and South America, ranging from the Guianas and southern Venezuela through Amazonia and eastern Brazil. It belongs to the Tityridae, the family of tityras, becards and allies. The species is split into five subspecies. It lives mainly in the interior of humid forest, and is also recorded at forest edges, in secondary growth and in drier woodland. Its range is disjunct, with forms in Amazonia, south-eastern Peru and northern Bolivia, and in eastern and south-eastern Brazil.
