Bruijn's Brush-turkey, also known as the Waigeo Brush-turkey, is a species of bird in the family Megapodiidae. It is endemic to the island of Waigeo in West Papua, Indonesia. This bird is known for its striking appearance, with a glossy black plumage, red facial skin, and a distinctive yellow wattle. The males build large mounds of vegetation for nesting and incubating their eggs, a behavior typical of megapodes. These birds are primarily found in lowland rainforests and are known for their elusive nature, making them a sought-after sighting for birdwatchers.
