Buckley's Forest-Falcon (Laniisoma buckleyi) is a striking bird of prey found in the humid forests of South America. This species is often found perched quietly in the forest understory, waiting to ambush its prey. Buckley's Forest-Falcon primarily feeds on small birds and insects. Due to habitat loss and deforestation, this species faces threats to its population, and its conservation status is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
