Irediparra gallinacea
The Buff-banded Rail, scientifically known as Irediparra gallinacea, is a small to medium-sized bird found in the wetlands and coastal areas of Australia, New Guinea, and nearby islands. This species is characterized by its distinctive buff-colored bands across its chest and belly, with a combination of brown, black, and white plumage. Buff-banded Rails are often observed foraging for food in muddy areas, where they feed on a variety of invertebrates and small vertebrates.
