Caloramphus hayii
The Buff-banded Rail, scientifically known as Caloramphus hayii, is a medium-sized bird found in the wetlands and coastal areas of Australia and nearby islands. It has a distinctive appearance with buff-colored bands across its chest and belly, and a combination of brown, black, and white plumage. These birds are known for their secretive nature and are often found foraging in dense vegetation for insects, small vertebrates, and seeds.
