Buff-barred Warbler

Phylloscopus subaffinis

The Buff-barred Warbler is a small songbird found in the forests and woodlands of East Asia. It has olive-green upperparts with buff-colored bars on the wings and a yellowish underbelly. This species is known for its distinctive song, a series of high-pitched notes. Buff-barred Warblers forage for insects and larvae in the dense foliage, often staying hidden from view. They are migratory birds, breeding in the northern parts of their range and wintering in the southern regions. Despite facing threats from habitat loss, their population status is currently not well known.
