Buff-cheeked Tody-Flycatcher, Poecilotriccus senex, is a passerine of north-central Brazil in South America, where it breeds in Amazonas and Rondônia. It belongs to the tyrant flycatcher family and is a resident bird. It lives in humid, low, stunted forest beside black-water rivers and in short woodland on white-sand ground. The species is recognised by its placement in Poecilotriccus and by the buff cheeks that give it its English name. It was first described in 1868 and is the only member of its kind.
