Buff-throated Tody-Tyrant, Hemitriccus rufigularis, is a passerine of humid montane forest in South America, breeding from Ecuador through Peru to Bolivia. It is also recorded in Colombia. This bird belongs to the tyrant flycatcher family and was first described in 1873. It is a resident species that stays in its range throughout the year. Its plumage is shared by both sexes, and adults show a buff throat, olive-green upperparts, and a pale belly with grey mottling on the flanks.
