Buff-winged Cinclodes

Cinclodes fuscus (Vieillot, 1818)

Buff-winged Cinclodes, Cinclodes fuscus, is a bird of the Furnariidae family that breeds in central and southern Chile and central and southern Argentina. Outside the breeding season it moves into southern Brazil, Uruguay and north-western Argentina. It is a small cinclodes with a short bill, and the sexes look alike. Adults show a pale buff-white eyebrow, a bright white face patch below the eye, dark brown upperparts, and wings with broad buff-edged coverts. Juveniles are more strongly coloured than adults.
